R&D - Regulatory Compliance Specialist II
About the role
Maintain FDA/USDA/CFIA labeling compliance for imported products, focusing on translation and verification of labeling information.
Lead regulatory compliance efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams in both the US and Korea to ensure all labeling standards are met.
Develop and continuously improve processes related to labeling, regulatory assessments, and claim compliance, utilizing Genesis software for nutrient fact panels and ingredient statements.
Review and validate product claims in marketing materials and other consumer communications to ensure they comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
Stay informed about the latest regulatory changes and update product labels accordingly. Manage the review, enhancement, and implementation of regulatory and compliance processes, procedures, and training programs.
Accurately maintain records of ingredients and nutritional values according to regulatory requirements.
Perform additional projects and tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Experience with EU/UK food labeling regulations and documentation requirements is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant food regulatory experience.
- Strong knowledge of FDA/USDA/CFIA food labeling regulations and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge and experience with the label review process.
- Knowledge and experience of USDA and FDA regulations.
- Experience and knowledge of GENESIS program.
- Initiative, ability to work independently, and sound judgment.
- Detail-oriented, demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of food product development and import/export processes is preferred.
- Korean/English bilingual is mandatory.

$80K-90K
