About the role
The R&B Laboratory Supervisor will oversee daily lab operations, ensure top-quality results, and lead a talented team of researchers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a dynamic team of Research Assistants and R&D technicians, ensuring the successful execution of research projects and the smooth operation of the lab.
- Manage daily lab activities, including scheduling, documentation, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
- Coordinate and schedule R&D technical staff.
- Oversee the execution and analysis of research experiments and trials.
- Plan and prioritize research projects to meet company objectives and timelines.
- Ensure all research activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in lab operations and research methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or STEM-related subject.
- 6-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, and proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Experience with bio-manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of laboratory safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality control standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Proficient with programs including MS Office Suite.
