R&D Laboratory Supervisor

About the role

The R&B Laboratory Supervisor will oversee daily lab operations, ensure top-quality results, and lead a talented team of researchers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a dynamic team of Research Assistants and R&D technicians, ensuring the successful execution of research projects and the smooth operation of the lab.
• Manage daily lab activities, including scheduling, documentation, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
• Coordinate and schedule R&D technical staff.
• Oversee the execution and analysis of research experiments and trials.
• Plan and prioritize research projects to meet company objectives and timelines.
• Ensure all research activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in lab operations and research methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS) in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or STEM-related subject.
• 6-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, and proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Experience with bio-manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• In-depth understanding of laboratory safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality control standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Proficient with programs including MS Office Suite.

$73,050 - $93,600/year
