About the role

We are experiencing tremendous growth in our digital ink division and invite you to be part of this exciting and growing team! If you are a chemist who enjoys solving problems and creating solutions in constantly evolving markets, this position is a great opportunity for you. Work at our state-of-the-art R&D center in West Chicago, IL.

  • Our R&D has a strong knowledge base—1/3 of our Chemist team has over 15 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues with existing technologies as well as customer challenges.
  • Develop new inkjet technologies based on customer needs.
  • Evaluate raw materials and optimize formulations for cost-savings opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing.
  • Publish project reports and other documents directly to sales and customers.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of inkjet ink formulation experience.
  • Knowledge of inkjet printing processes.
  • Strong math and science skills.
  • Proficiency with record-keeping.
  • Good written, reading comprehension, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and draw effective conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with UV curing processes and formulations.

Pay

This role offers a starting range of $77,000 to $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic considerations.
