Quick Care Manager (Practice Management)
Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for a new position to work in our flagship site- El Nuevo San Juan Health Center (ENSJ) to manage our Quick Care Services. Quick Care is a walk-in service for pediatrics and adult patients without appointments who are presenting with the need for prompt assessment and care for non-emergency illnesses, and injuries.
Key Duties
- Maintains departmental operations, including but not limited to staffing, hours of operation, and daily work assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care.
- Monitors departmental operations for Pediatrics and Adult Quick Care services, patient flow and cycle times, to ensure efficient service delivery and an optimal patient experience.
- Identifies and resolves operational issues such as staffing shortages, supply needs and equipment concerns to minimize disruption to patient care.
- Conducts routine inspections and audits (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures associates receive appropriate clinical and non-clinical training to perform duties safely, effectively, and in compliance with organizational standards.
- Supervises, coaches, evaluates non-physician staff; implements corrective action and disciplinary measures as needed to maintain performance standards.
- Conducts performance management activities, including ongoing feedback and completion of annual evaluations.
- Recruits, interviews, selects, and onboards departmental staff.
- Manages staff scheduling including paid time off, education leave, and personal leave to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Leads daily team huddles and departmental meetings to promote communication, accountability, and continuous performance improvements.
- Maintains adequate - cost-effective inventory of supplies and equipment to support uninterrupted clinical and administrative operations.
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of staff timesheets for payroll processing.
- Serves as Saturday Administrator for ENSJ.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by ENSJ Administration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or other related field of study required.
- 2 years' experience working as a manager with direct reports and clear supervisory responsibilities in a healthcare setting. Previous experience in a high volume patient-care setting which can include and is not limited to primary care, urgent care, hospital.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- Proven record and abilities focused on electronic health records.
- Excellent communicator and motivator.
Starting Compensation
Minimum: $70,000 per annum; Maximum: $77,000 per annum.
