About the role
The Quantitative Analytics Manager leads the development and validation of predictive and machine-learning models for specific business needs using statistics, advanced mathematical techniques, and/or computer science. This role leverages advanced mathematical knowledge, analysis, partnerships, and business acumen to provide solutions to predictive and prescriptive questions such as “What will happen next?” and “What will we do?” Projects are often broad in scope across multiple business segments and involve guiding a team or project through solving business problems using statistics, best practices, emerging techniques, and quantitative tools.
Success factors include demonstrating leadership through strong communication, addressing conflict, coaching others on technical skills, managing competing priorities, and presenting holistic analyses to answer partners’ problem statements. The role requires prioritizing multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, establishing a reputation as a collaborative partner, and communicating technical theories and models to non-technical audiences. Additionally, it involves leveraging knowledge of strategy, business, and competition to connect the team’s work to the “bigger picture” and drive efficiency in solution delivery.
Responsibilities
- Create and leverage models, inferential statistics, and prescriptive analysis to proactively solve business problems, answering “What will happen and what should we do about it?”
- Address large, complex problems with broad implications, recommending solutions based on context, connections, and conclusions.
- Review deliverables and proactively coach others on approach and work product.
- Lead and evangelize best practices for capturing and retaining data.
- Coordinate with data stewards and anticipate process/procedure needs.
- Make continuous improvements to data procedures, including data efficiency.
- Recommend the best analysis method for each situation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial engineering, data sciences, predictive modeling, or other quantitative disciplines and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in the same fields and at least 6 years of relevant experience.

- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
- SQL/NoSQL and relationship data structures.
- Selecting and retrieving data, including unstructured data retrieval, archival, and ETL.
- Databases and advanced proficiency in Python, R, or SAS:
- Efficient coding practices.
- Building strong code controls and translating code into high-level commentary.
- Understanding and ability to leverage:
- Cloud-based computing.
- Distributed computing.
Model Building & Maintenance
Ability to:
- Establish standards and best practices for modeling; forecast future modeling tools and techniques.
- Identify, employ, and evangelize emerging techniques from industry and research.

Pay
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
