Quality Technician - CMM Inspection
About the Role
Join a diverse group of driven professionals in the Quality Organization at BAE Systems, where you’ll contribute to designing products and systems that support enhanced military capabilities, protect national security, and secure critical information and infrastructure. As a Quality Tech in Hudson, NH, you’ll work within our Quality machine shop, focusing on the review and CMM inspection of manufactured parts to ensure conformance with applicable drawing specifications and industry quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform CMM inspections on a wide array of commodities, including mechanical fabrication/machined parts, circuit card assemblies, printed wiring boards, and electrical components.
- Verify conformance of materials to technical specifications and drawings, utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Establish and improve inspection methods using simple and advanced quality tools.
- Review and approve AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
- Issue non-conformance reports and assist with stock purges.
- Support metrology and interface with various departments.
- Write new programs for CMM.
- Inspect mechanical parts and assemblies using tools such as calipers, micrometers, GO/NG fixtures, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and optical comparator instruments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 2-3+ years of work experience.
- Ability to interpret and inspect technical specifications and drawings.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Experience writing new programs for CMM.
- Experience inspecting mechanical parts and assemblies using common and advanced inspection tools.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Military and Industry specifications and standards.
- Ability to review and verify conformance and traceability documentation.
- Experience reviewing First Article Inspection reports.
- Ability to navigate and organize information within a Quality Management System Database.
- Inspection of Printed Wiring Boards per IPC-A-600 and Circuit Card Assemblies per IPC-A-610.
- Experience performing XRF.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $57,319 - $91,710. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.

Schedule
This role is full-time onsite, requiring work at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration.
