Quality Technician - 1st Shift
Position Description
Avoids and completes APRISO ANDON timely responses. Participates as a core team member for JDI/9Steps/GEMBA walks and reports on quality status. Investigates, identifies root causes, and implements corrective actions for mechanical, electrical, brazing, and welding issues. Generates quality alerts indicating good versus bad products. Cross-trains and supports multiple chiller lines. Responds to field issues (FQAs) with immediate containment. Performs indoor and outdoor customer containment sorts and audits, even in minor weather conditions. Must be computer-savvy, multitasking, proficient with laptops, emails, teams, and ANDONS. Supports MRB support and repairs using hand tools, maintains spare parts, and utilizes programs like Windchill, Apriso, Oracle, MDP, and Excel. Reviews and improves Apriso OMS Work Instructions with Manufacturing Engineering support. Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Trains others to build quality products and support customers.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and drawings.
- Familiarity with quality measurement tools, including dimensional and electrical measuring equipment.
- Good manual dexterity and experience with hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electrical laws.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration cycles.
- Good communication skills, customer-first attitude, and ability to share information and coach others.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with the Windows operating environment.
- Two-year technical degree or relevant experience (EOL test) a plus but not required.

Pay and Schedule
Base Pay Range: $24.97 – $32.01 based on experience. Annual Base Salary Range: $24.66 - $28.79. Compensation Type: Hourly. Incentive Eligible: No. Sales Commission Eligible: No.
