Responsibilities

• Uphold all safety practices to prevent injury from unsafe work practices and/or conditions
• Ensure quality department is following all KORE requirements, ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OSHAS-18001 and FSSC-22000 requirements and all Federal/State regulatory requirements for beverage processing
• Maintain adherence to all required work instructions, work aids and forms that pertain to Quality, Environment, Safety and Food Safety including training verifications
• Monitor daily sanitation and personal hygiene adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Oversee proficiency of laboratory personnel and provide feedback to enhance knowledge base of the department
• Provide coaching to improve competency and quality of work
• Lead and initiate troubleshooting of systems, equipment and processes affecting overall quality and food safety of product
• Collaborate with plant-wide supervisors to achieve overall goals and objectives

Requirements

• High school degree, with college degree preferred in chemistry, biology, or related science field
• 4+ years experience in Quality Assurance in a food manufacturing industry – soft drink preferred
• Strong understanding of beverage manufacturing process
• Specific knowledge of all state and local standards and requirements for water quality and raw materials for food grade production

Qualifications

• ISO quality standards in a soft drink environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of industry quality standards for beverage manufacturing preferred
