Quality Supervisor

Summary Of Responsibilities

Reviews status of customer (internal & external) rejections and recommends appropriate corrective action.
Acts as a liaison with customers, vendors and various company departments.
Advises the Quality Manager on inspection status, returns, vendor performance, audit results and corrective action needed.

Responsibilities And Tasks

• Maintains daily control of inspection personnel.
• Keeps personnel updated in inspection methods, quality standards, and quality system changes.
• Interfaces with daily product operations and on-site government representatives.
• Reviews drawings and other Engineering processes.
• Daily management and administration of Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR), Product Quality Deficiency Report, warranty claims, and interactions with customers.
• Daily administration activities of the MRB processes.
• Process improvement both internal & external.

Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification

• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Associate's degree is preferred
• ASQ Lean Specialized Credential is preferred
• Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred
• Leverage Lean Manufacturing Skills

Job Knowledge

• Coordination and administration of quality assurance activities.
• Understanding and extracting quality requirements from the Government contracts and customer purchase orders.
