About the role
We are seeking a Quality Supervisor for the 1st shift to join our team in Goodfield. In this role, you will be responsible for activities related to quality, including planning, implementation, and sustainment of the company Quality Management System.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of quality inspectors and Quality gates, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and prevent defects.
- Develop and implement programs to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products, as well as focus employees on quality improvement.
- Develop policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, and/or operations.
- Conduct inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
- Develop, assure, and maintain the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, Quality Management System, quality audits/reviews, process reengineering).
- Prepare regular reports on quality metrics and performance for management and stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints or manufacturing issues related to the product.
- Develop problem-solving projects using quality tools: Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys Analysis, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA, Six Sigma Tools, Kaizen, etc.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, including problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and culture influence.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a relevant discipline.
- Two or more years of quality assurance and/or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience with ISO 9001 standards and quality continuous improvements.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- 5+ years of quality assurance/engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience with ISO 9001 standards and quality continuous improvements.
- Strong assembly experience.
- Welding and paint knowledge.
- Quality process experience (controls plans and root cause analysis).
- Proficiency with quality tools for problem-solving: Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys Analysis, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA, Six Sigma Tools, Kaizen, etc.
- User knowledge of basic MS tools.
- Continuous improvement experience.
Pay
The annual salary for this role is USD $74,625.00 - $99,500.00 plus any applicable bonus. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as skill, experience, and qualifications.
