Quality & Safety Improvement Consultant IV, Clinical Quality Consulting (KFH/HP)
About the role
This position provides consultation and education related to clinical quality and patient safety, accreditation, regulatory and licensing (AR&L), risk management, and infection prevention and control. Responsibilities include contributing to the evaluation, design, and development of evidence-based guidelines and programs, facilitating implementation efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice, and optimizing patient outcomes. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and presenting clinical data for various users, including state, federal, and local agencies, as well as supporting continuous survey readiness and serving as a liaison with government and regulatory agencies.

- Facilitate quality improvement and risk management efforts by developing corrective action plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, and conducting root cause analyses.
- Develop and utilize quality improvement performance metrics in collaboration with stakeholders to establish practical and cohesive standards.
- Implement methods and tools to develop stakeholders' capabilities for process improvements, integrating Lean/Six-Sigma concepts and data-driven principles.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for quality improvement processes and regulations, participating in committees and delivering educational programs.
- Conduct utilization and performance reviews; identify areas of improvement and provide feedback and coaching to stakeholders.
- Deliver and assist in developing training and educational programs related to process improvement for quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with databases, spreadsheets, or continuous quality improvement (CQI) tools.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a clinical setting, health care administration, or a directly related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field AND minimum four (4) years of experience in quality, performance improvement, customer service, or a related field OR minimum seven (7) years of experience in quality, performance improvement, customer service, or a related field.
- Registered Nurse License (California).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
- Health care clinical license from the practicing/applicable state (e.g., Registered Pharmacist (RPh), Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Social Worker).

Schedule
- Full-time, standard worker location (onsite).
- Shift: Day (Monday–Friday).
- Working hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM.
- Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
Pay
Pay range: $146,600 – $189,640 per year. Actual base pay determined at offer will be based on labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate’s years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
