About the role
Nox Metals is a technology company in Detroit supplying metal. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.
Responsibilities
- Own our safety program. Training, PPE, hazard control, and OSHA recordkeeping
- Investigate incidents and near misses, find the real root cause, and close the loop
- Walk the floor daily and stop work when something is not right
- Own material quality from receiving to shipping, including certification and traceability
- Write the SOPs people actually use and keep them current
- Prepare for and run customer and third-party audits
Qualifications
- Safety-obsessed
- Trained in OSHA general industry standards, OSHA 30 preferred
- Familiar with quality management systems, ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Organized and documents stuff, high attention to detail
- Comfortable building the program instead of inheriting one
Nice to have
- Experience in manufacturing or warehousing
- Internal auditor training, ISO 9001 or AS9100
- AI proficiency
Schedule
Full time, in person in Detroit. Day shift (8AM to 4PM), with flexibility to cover second and weekend shifts as needed.
Pay
$50K - $60K
