About the role
Support department-wide steering and communication. Implementation of projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in Quality Management for Parts & Steering, Interior, and Exterior.
Responsibilities
- Assist the project specialist on critical ongoing projects and upcoming milestones.
- Support supply chain topics, including sub-component stock tracking and crisis management for critical component shortages.
- Work on special scopes for specific supplier topics as defined by the hiring manager and assignment supervisor.
- Manage and improve the department-wide communication landscape.
- Organize and coordinate project milestones and events.
- Create and implement reporting structures for current and upcoming projects.
- Drive the implementation of AI technology, digitalization, and automation across the department.
- Develop an OEE and value stream data collection system for suppliers.
- Apply problem-solving methodologies (8D) to resolve recurrent quality issues with specific suppliers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a college program with a major in business administration, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Good communication skills and an analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience working in teams or leading groups of people.
- Meets assignment qualifications from JFDSP.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours per week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university.
- Must attach a copy of an unofficial transcript.
- Must complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.

January 11 – May 14, 2027 (full-time, 40 hours per week).
