Spring 2027 internship (January 11, 2027 – May 14, 2027), full-time on-site (40 hours / week).

About the role

A hands-on learning experience where interns actively contribute to quality-management functions for exterior parts commodities. You will work alongside specialists on real supplier issues, implement data-collection systems, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Implement an OEE and value-stream data-collection system at suppliers.
  • Steer and coordinate supplier quality development for specific issues.
  • Apply problem-solving methodology (8D) to resolve recurrent quality topics with suppliers.
  • Assist Quality Specialists on critical ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Work on supplier process problems using structured problem-solving tools.
  • Support supply-chain crisis management for sub-component stock tracking and shortages.
  • Execute special supplier scopes as defined by the hiring manager and supervisor.
  • Conduct research and conceptualize new improvement ideas.
  • Support project management, coordination, and focused events.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to align with business strategies.
  • Recommend best practices and process enhancements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize, develop, and deliver program goals.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and prepare meeting materials.
  • Participate in project team meetings and provide administrative support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university in the United States, pursuing a major in business administration, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (transfer students must provide GPA from current university).
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience leading groups of people.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; German language skills preferred.
  • Analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Must pass a substance-abuse test before the work term.
  • Must attach an unofficial transcript with application.
