Schedule
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Split Shift: Monday - Thursday, 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM (10% Shift Premium)
Responsibilities
- Read and understand part drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements to check part dimensions and tolerances
- Set up and use inspection gauges for production checks
- Inspect parts using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) guidelines
- Perform incoming (receiving) inspections to ensure materials meet purchase order and specification requirements
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect part features including alignment, location, geometric tolerances; develop, modify, and validate inspection programs when needed
- Inspect tooling and fixtures and keep accurate inspection and calibration records
- Visually inspect parts and materials for surface defects such as cracks, dents, burrs, or poor welds
- Verify assemblies are complete by comparing parts to drawings, parts lists, or sample models
- Measure parts using standard inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
- Identify, document, and reject non-conforming parts, and work with the Quality Supervisor to resolve quality issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
