About the role
Wedlake Enclosure Systems is hiring Quality Inspectors to support manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly operations on 1st and 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on fabricated products.
- Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and workmanship.
- Verify dimensions, fit-up, doors, panels, louvers, and hardware installation.
- Inspect paint, coatings, and surface prep for coverage and defects.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Identify and document nonconforming materials or workmanship (NCRs).
- Communicate quality issues with production and engineering teams.
- Verify corrective actions and assist with re-inspection.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
- Reliable with flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shift.
Preferred Experience
- With generator enclosures or similar metal fabrication.
- Welding or fabrication background.
- Familiarity with weld inspection and coating/paint quality.
- Experience working within a structured quality system.
