About the role
The QC Inspector will work as part of the Quality Department, inspecting finished good parts for compliance to specification, ensuring conformance to requirements using calibrated measuring equipment and visual inspection, interpreting part drawings and specifications, and verifying product identification and traceability.
Responsibilities
- Inspect finished good parts for compliance to specification
- Review basic assembly drawings and shop math (Trigonometry)
- Review completeness of Bill of Materials for completeness and accuracy including accessories and spare parts sales orders
- Ensure packaging is adequate
- Sign-off Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) reports
- Generate Certificate of Compliance (CoC)
- Complete Discrepant Material Report (DMR) forms for rejected parts
- Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
- Perform visual inspection of finished parts
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience performing in-process or final inspection preferably in a defense, automotive or aerospace business
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measurement tools including weight gage, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gage blocks, thread gages, torque drivers, and comparative standards
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions
- Independent; can work with limited supervision and direction
- A high level of attention to detail
Qualifications
- U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
