Quality Engineering Technician
About the role
Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to join the Operations - Quality Control team. This role is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies' headquarters in West Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities
- Perform acceptance testing on first article PCBs, assemblies, and components in a Linux-based environment.
- Prepare assemblies according to established acceptance testing procedures.
- Support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of test stations.
- Perform rigorous stress testing on fully built assemblies to validate components.
- Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
- Inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
- Read and interpret part documentation including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
- Prepare in-process inspection report ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Work closely with engineering and operations leadership to develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation.
- Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to identify, investigate, and document any inconsistent or abnormal test results.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or repair; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1-2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
- Experience with utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
- Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
- Proficient with PC and familiar with MS Office.
- Excellent organizational skills, highly attentive to details, and capable of handling numerous tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or repair; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1-2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.

- Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.

Skills
- Prior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
- Soldering experience.
- IPC Certification.
Benefits
- Compensation: $34.50 - $40.25 / hourly
- Basic Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or repair; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1-2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
- Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Prior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment. Soldering experience. IPC Certification.
