About the role
The Quality Engineering Technician at Zimmer Biomet supports day-to-day operations, NCRs, OOT reports, customer complaints, CAPA development and implementation, operational procedures revisions, and CI initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Identify, report, and seek corrections for calibration out of tolerance (OOT) incidents.
- Participate in investigations: NCR, OOT, and customer complaints.
- Publish metric trending plans for calibration.
- Aid in CAPA resolution.
- Aid in revising operational procedures and CI initiatives.
- Train other team members on tasks related to their area.
- Participate in department and cross-functional meetings in the absence of the QA Calibration Engineer.
- Execute validation protocols, gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) testing, data analysis, and complete required reports.
- Complete Vertex, CMM programming, and SPC template completion.
Requirements
- Strong technical writing skills and broad knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Broad knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and under pressure.
- Initiative and sound judgment in the performance of duties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
- ASQ Quality Technician Certification is highly desirable.
