Quality Engineering Technician

About the role

The Quality Engineering Technician at Zimmer Biomet supports day-to-day operations, NCRs, OOT reports, customer complaints, CAPA development and implementation, operational procedures revisions, and CI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Identify, report, and seek corrections for calibration out of tolerance (OOT) incidents.
• Participate in investigations: NCR, OOT, and customer complaints.
• Publish metric trending plans for calibration.
• Aid in CAPA resolution.
• Aid in revising operational procedures and CI initiatives.
• Train other team members on tasks related to their area.
• Participate in department and cross-functional meetings in the absence of the QA Calibration Engineer.
• Execute validation protocols, gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) testing, data analysis, and complete required reports.
• Complete Vertex, CMM programming, and SPC template completion.

Requirements

• Strong technical writing skills and broad knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Broad knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and under pressure.
• Initiative and sound judgment in the performance of duties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
• ASQ Quality Technician Certification is highly desirable.
