Quality Director

About the role

Stellar Energy Global Infrastructure (SEGI) is seeking a Quality Director to lead its corporate quality management system and oversee project quality execution for turnkey energy infrastructure EPC projects, ensuring compliance with both SEGI and customer quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and provide leadership and training in the development and maintenance of SEGI’s Quality Management System.
• Establish engineering, supply chain, and field inspection quality programs.
• Oversee supplier qualification, inspection programs, audits, and corrective actions.
• Audit supplier and subcontractor quality system/program, including installation/inspection/testing procedures and records, engineering document control, and non-conformance tracking and resolution.
• Perform site inspection of field construction materials and activities. Coordinate inspections by 3rd parties.
• Champion continuous improvement programs to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
• Assist in the supplier evaluation and selection process.
• Interact with customers regarding quality issues, QMS questions, surveys, etc.
• Support proposal development.
• Maintain good interface with other departments.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or related discipline, from an accredited university.
• 10-15+ years of experience in industrial project QA/QC, preferably in power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical or other industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, API, ASME, NERC and other relevant standards.
• Familiar with quality system, process control, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, etc.

Preferred Certification

• In Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt) or Lean strongly preferred.
