About the Role

To ensure the production of safe, quality products by training, developing, and managing employees according to established company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, trains, and develops employees to ensure they perform job duties and meet company goals in accordance with established standards.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures, including safety, OSHA, federal/state/local laws, quality control, and water treatment.
  • Coordinates syrup-batching activities to meet production schedules.
  • Monitors daily product batches to optimize yield while maintaining quality, ensuring customer expectations, PepsiCo standards, and profitability goals are met; makes decisions about continuing production when product standards are not met.
  • Works with the management team to prepare the facility for regulatory audits (e.g., AIB, FDA, FCCS 2200, PepsiCo, Department of Agriculture).
  • Completes and maintains standard operating procedures, disciplinary notices, accident reports, and other paperwork; reviews and approves time-off requests and timecards.
  • Maintains confidentiality of product formulas, pricing, employee information, production records, and other sensitive data.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular attendance, and works outside normal hours as required to meet workload demands.
  • Investigates hold product and collaborates with the Quality Control Manager to determine release or destruction.
  • Communicates with outside vendors to ensure equipment reliability and ingredient availability to meet production demands.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • 2-year/associate degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (required).
  • 4-year/bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of quality control experience.
  • Experience with a beverage company or similar industry (strongly preferred).
  • 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of: beverage production processes, blending and mixing, water treatment, safety procedures, analytical testing equipment, general management principles, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skills in: internal customer service, training, and coaching.
  • Ability to: train, develop, lead, and manage a team; work quickly, efficiently, and independently; multitask; communicate effectively; adapt to change; read, write, and interpret procedures and manuals; perform accurate calculations for product mixing and testing; operate forklifts, computers, micro-testing equipment, and lab equipment; delegate; problem-solve and troubleshoot.
