Quality Control Specialist $26-$31.50/hr*

Nugget Markets is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Quality Control Specialist to oversee all aspects of food and associate safety at our Nugget Markets Kitchen facility in Woodland. This is a full-time position that will comply with and help enforce all food safety, HACCP, GMP, safety rules and all other company policies. This position also plays a key role in the prevention of on-the-job accidents by facilitating the company safety program at the Nugget Market Kitchen and acting as a safety resource. Individual associate hourly rates are based on factors including experience, location, and length of employment. The Quality Control Specialist’s responsibilities include Conduct pre-operational and/or operational inspectionsConduct temperature and weight checks, including verification checks of thermometers and scalesEnsure all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products meet quality standardsEnsure all finished products are properly labeledReport all food safety and/or quality issues and work with leaders to develop and implement corrective actionsVerify that overnight sanitation and product changeovers meet cleanliness standardsAssist with monthly safety inspectionsAssist with training You should meet the following requirements At least 18 years of agePrevious food safety experience, or related experience in another industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of commercial kitchen equipmentStrong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast-paced production environment Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteExcellent problem solving skillsBilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required Our hiring team will reach out via text, phone or email once we’ve reviewed your application.
