Essential Responsibilities
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Quality Management: Assure that employees operate consistently within the policies and procedures of VPET USA INC.
- Carry out assigned tasks to the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach performance goals.
- Serve as a link between the shifts, communicating the quality assurance issues on daily quality matters such as processing hold items, item disposition, quality alerts, and NARs.
- Validate the inspector’s inspections; the lead will sign off the inspection reports QC006, and QC026 as second inspection validation process to ensure machines are running within the specifications.
- Create First Article Inspection Sheet and Wall Distribution Sheet.
- Provide orientation and training of new employees as assigned.
- Cross functional train with Quality Control Inspectors and Quality Control Lead Inspector responsibilities and act as the delegate in their absence.
- Prepare and present hold tags for the Quality manager review and material disposition.
- Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions such as status of parts in hold, certificate of conformance.
- Work with Document Control Clerk in maintaining a database of blue prints, inspection sheet and wall distribution sheet.
- Assist in orientation and training of employees as assigned.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor.
- Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
- Provide support to production team when required.
- Visually and physically inspect materials, components, subassemblies, assemblies, tools, and final product configuration using blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and orders, and other applicable sources to observe, measure, record conformity to customer, regulatory, and company specifications.
- Record compliance with quality standards to verify that company products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications.
- Solve inspection problems; methods-procedures, plans, and details.
- Audits products and processes to verify system.
- Maintain necessary inspection logs and write inspection reports.
Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-5 years’ previous mechanical inspection background with ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, high gauge, micrometers, etc.) preferred.
- A combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Familiar with SQF 2000, HACCP, and GMP preferred.
- Experience in the plastic bottle industry or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite programs. Must be able to use computer programs at an intermediate level to keep track of administrative tasks such as report writing, analysis of work orders, evaluations of First Articles, etc.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Must be available for after hour calls for critical issues (minimal occurrence).
- Must be committed to the success of the entire organization.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
- Must be able to use a ladder or step ladder during the course of work.
- Works in both an office environment and warehouse. Warehouse temperatures inside are affected by the outside conditions.
- This is a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
