Scope Of Responsibility

  • Serves as a “Working Lead Person”
  • Must be able to perform all inspection functions except nondestructive testing.
  • (Able to take over inspectors' activities)
  • Communicate instructions from management in a detailed manner on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for training and development of all inspectors.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed.
  • Responsible for holding safety and all other meetings with team members in order to communicate important information at the beginning of each shift.
  • Keep pass down log accurate.
  • Able to assume responsibilities of the QC supervisor when needed.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Work in your shift as scheduled.
  • Must work well with others.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    • Regular and timely attendance is required.
    • High School/GED preferred but not required.
    • One year in Quality Control or related field. Welding background a plus.
    • Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
    • Be able to accurately verify all parts to print using a tape measure.
    • Possess effective communication skills to motivate and direct employees.
    • Must be able to read and write in English.
    • Possess intermediate computer skills with experience in MS Office.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials.
    • Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends.
    • Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
