Quality Control Inspector B (IPC-610)
About the role
The Quality Control Inspector B works with production personnel to ensure production and shipment of quality products. This involves inspecting parts during receipt of material, in-process and final inspection, communicating errors, and recording test data. The Quality Inspector lends strong attention to detail to support the mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection of finished goods and supplier parts.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts during receipt of material, in-process and final inspection and proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to the supervisor
- Understand and interpret basic GD&T (blueprint reading)
- Mechanical/dimensional inspection of diverse product lines
- Review/audit of required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR
- Write DMRs (Defective Material Reports) as needed and coordinate RTV Tracker (Return to Vendor)
- Use measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, verniers, etc.)
- Review of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracy
- Utilize basic computer skills for data entry, documentation review, and inspection record tracking
Requirements
- 2 years use of measuring tools: Micrometers, Microscopes, and height gauges
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with inspection of solder, printed circuit, hybrid electronics and final assemblies
- Certified in J-STD-001 and Space Addendum, or IPC-A-610

This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain a U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $32.30. This is a union position.
