Quality Control Inspector

About the role

Noveon Magnetics is seeking an experienced QC/QA Technician to join their production department. The primary responsibility is to inspect and test products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify any defects or non-conformances.
• Utilize various testing equipment to measure key product parameters like dimensions, weight, chemical composition, and functionality, ensuring they fall within specified tolerances.
• Record inspection results, analyze data trends using statistical process control (SPC) methods, and identify potential quality issues.
• Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and non-conformance reports, communicating issues to relevant personnel.
• Follow established quality standards and work instructions to ensure consistency in quality checks.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Technical proficiency with relevant testing equipment and methodologies.
• Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
• Knowledge of quality management systems like ISO standards.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing.
• Able to move up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs.
