Quality Control Inspector

Competitive salary starting at $65,000 (DOE) plus employer-paid health insurance.

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspection, monitoring, coordinating, and compliance with the quality control program for all work performed by operations and maintenance staff. This includes electrical, mechanical, HVAC equipment and associated systems (PMs and service work orders), alterations, repairs, and subcontractor work to ensure all requirements specified in the Quality Control Program are met.

Responsibilities

• Examine goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health, safety, legal, business, ethical, or other standards.
• Verify that established standards are maintained for transportation methods, building and facilities maintenance, and repair services.
• Ensure permits or licenses have been obtained and are displayed.
• Confer with officials, interpret regulations and codes, and assist establishments in altering methods and practices to meet standards.
• Investigate complaints, prepare reports of findings, and recommend actions.
• Recommend changes in standards, administrative procedures, facilities, methods, and practices.
• Inform the QC Manager of pertinent problems, irregularities, and other important information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of similar experience, including experience or training in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/BAS control systems.
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willingness to obtain one.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience.

Physical Requirements

• Carrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distances.
• Extensive computer work.
• Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping.
• Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.
• Working both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions.
