Quality Control Inspector

About the role

Inspect incoming and outgoing products against customer-defined specifications and internal processes. Complete and approve Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for customer products. Assist Quality and Engineering personnel in root cause analysis and corrective action requests for suppliers and internal processes. Ensure compliance with quality requirements outlined in Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs). Perform in-process and final inspections to verify masking, de-masking, and thickness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming products against customer-defined specifications and internal processes.
• Inspect outgoing products against customer-defined specifications and internal processes.
• Complete and approve NCMRs for incoming/outgoing customer products.
• Assist Quality/Engineering personnel in root cause analysis and completion of Supplier Corrective Action Requests and Internal Corrective Action Requests.
• Understand and meet quality requirements as defined in Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs).
• Perform in-process and final inspection of customer parts to ensure masking, de-masking, and thickness requirements are met.
• Operate precision measuring instruments and record results as needed.
• Perform tasks in a clean room environment when required.
• Maintain high levels of personal hygiene and a neat, orderly work area.
• Assist in packing, preparing shipments, and coordinating with Customer Service.
• Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
• Assist in other areas or perform additional duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Skills

• Ability to comprehend and carry out English written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computation of rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to communicate data, instructions, production results, quality issues, and similar subjects both verbally and in writing.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Email).
• Troubleshooting skills.
• High degree of manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.
• Ability to distinguish between colors: red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and violet.
• Near vision acuity: able to read at 20/20 visual acuity using a Jaeger eye chart with or without correction (e.g., No. 1 at 14" distance, No. 2 at 20" distance, or No. 3 at 24" distance).
