Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities

• Performs in-process visual and dimensional inspections on injection molded parts against established standards.
• Performs complete part inspection by measuring dimensions such as length, diameter, and distance between reference points using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators to ensure the product(s) meets specifications.
• Maintains a record of inspections and prepares a list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specifications, and facilitates the acceptance of parts.
• Provides guidance and transfers inspection skills to injection molding operators.
• Reports quality problems or nonconformances to the head of IMO and QC supervisor, then follows up to ensure that containment and corrections have/will take place.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language and be understood.
• Absolutely must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Absolutely must have the ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• An associate degree (2-year), or equivalent.
• AQSIQ certified quality inspector.
• Experience leading, directing, or supervising inspection or measuring teams.
