Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, or measure incoming and outgoing materials or products.
• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
• Document inspection results for quality-control records.
• Accept or reject finished items.
• Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
• Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with policies, procedures, and practices; identify corrective actions to resolve audit issues.
• Report inspection and test data.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of a broad variety of metals.
• Extensive knowledge of measurements.
• Able to drive forklifts.
• Able to use overhead cranes.
• Knowledge of rigging.
