Quality Control Inspector

Location: Andover, MA • Duration: 9 months • Hours: 40/week • Pay rate: $20–30/hr • Shift: 7 AM–3:30 PM (1st shift) • Employment type: W2 contract (US citizens or green-card holders only)

About the role

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials, assemblies, work-in-progress, and finished medical devices, and completing documentation to determine conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections per documented specifications
• Conduct testing in conformance with regulations and standards
• Analyze inspection results and determine final product disposition
• Detect nonconforming conditions and identify basic non-compliance within regulations and standards
• Work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods
• Adhere to quality guidelines and comply with regulations and standards
• Interpret drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Use standard measuring equipment (calipers, RAM optic, micrometers, pin gauges, gage blocks, etc.)
• Work with small components in a cleanroom environment
• Follow calibrated-equipment manual procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement activities

Requirements

• 3+ years of Quality Control Inspection experience, preferably in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or FDA regulated environment
• Proven ability to interpret drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Experience using standard measuring equipment (calipers, RAM optic, micrometers, pin gauges, gage blocks, etc.)
• Attention to detail and ability to work with small components
• Understanding of calibrated equipment and ability to follow equipment manual procedures
• Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment
