Quality Control Inspector
Location: Sparks, MD • 6-month contract • 40 hours/week • $20–30/hr • 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM)
About the role
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on a wide variety of medical-device products in accordance with internal procedures and product specifications. Report non-conformances to the supervisor, discuss corrective actions, and follow up to verify effectiveness. Determine product acceptability, initiate rejection notices, and maintain accurate written records of inspections and results. Recognize conditions outside your specific inspection areas that require action and escalate them to the supervisor. Monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.) in employee work areas and report infractions for corrective action. Evaluate both product and process, making decisions on subjective visual inspections that impact product quality, productivity, and costs related to rework, scrap, and warranty.
Responsibilities

- Evaluate product and process, making decisions on subjective visual inspections.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of related Quality Control experience or equivalent.
- Demonstrated human relations and communication skills.
- Ability to withstand repetitive motion and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to read and comprehend English.
- Six months of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, and/or software inspection.
- Blueprint/schematic reading and knowledge of GD&T.
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and MS software.
Pay
$20–30 per hour
