Quality Control Inspector

About the role

Mid-State Sales is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our ISO 9001:2015 registered fluid-conveyance manufacturing facility. We produce hydraulic hose and tube assemblies and have served customers since 1969. This position offers a mix of on-the-floor product inspection and desk-based reporting, with cross-training across multiple departments. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a shop/warehouse environment with frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), grease, dirt, and oil.

Responsibilities

• Inspect outbound materials for defects
• Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
• Maintain, test, and troubleshoot department instrumentation devices
• Test a percentage of products based on industry standards
• Record, track, and report nonconforming product to management
• Inspect outbound distribution orders and bulk inventory
• Audit distribution departmental procedures
• Record, track, and report errors to the Quality Assurance Manager
• Prepare reports, read specifications, and perform ISO-related duties

Requirements

• Strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office/Excel experience a plus)
• Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs frequently
• Ability to work in a shop/warehouse environment with grease, dirt, and oil
• Ability to commute or relocate to Columbus, OH 43230 (required)

Preferred experience: 1 year in manufacturing or quality inspection.

Pay

$17.00–$20.00 per hour (starting pay)

Schedule

• Full-time, 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
