FOX Factory designs, engineers, manufactures and markets performance-defining products and systems for customers worldwide. Our premium brand products are used primarily on bicycles, side-by-side vehicles, on-road and off-road vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, motorcycles, and commercial trucks. We serve leading cycling and powered vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as well as consumers through a global dealer and distribution network.
About the role
Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies for conformance to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Checks randomly selected samples and verifies accuracy of equipment or process.
- Reports conditions requiring immediate repair.
- Uses advanced inspection methods to develop and conduct quality programs.
- Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections.
- Uses experience and judgment for planning and accomplishing goals.
- May inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions.
- May obtain samples to conduct studies in laboratory analysis and determines measures to remedy deviations from standards.
- Conducts Product and Process audits and LPA (Layered Process Audits).
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in quality and/or inventory.
- Previous experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Previous experience with Oracle, SAP, or other database management systems.
Skills
- Strong and accurate data entry skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated – able to work with minimal supervision.
- Use of powered hand tools and forklift operation.
- Testing of raw materials and/or finished products, including industry standard test methods (e.g., ANSI/ASME measuring standards).
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Constantly (6+ hours): Stand, walk, twist/turn, stoop/bend.
- Frequently (3 to 6 hours): Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to hot and cold climates.
- Personal Protective Equipment required, including ear protection in high-noise areas.
- Working around machinery with moving parts, moving objects, or vehicles.
- Potential for slippery and uneven walking surfaces, including use of ladders.
- Working in close proximity to others.
- Exposure to offensive odors and hazardous waste.
- Vision abilities required for data validation on computers and calibrated measurement tools.
