About the role

We are looking for an entry-level Quality Control Inspector to join our team. You will use precision test instruments to confirm product specifications and handle defective items according to established procedures. Your role involves performing visual, mechanical, functional, and dimensional inspections across various medical device product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection tasks using a variety of test instruments and equipment to measure component values and record functional operation.
  • Determine acceptability and recommend disposition of defective items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify sample compliance to blueprints/drawings and material specifications.
  • Generate Non-conformance Reports for submitted product found out of specification.
  • Communicate with quality and development engineers concerning product and documentation defects.
  • Utilize shop math techniques, dexterity, and mechanical aptitude to operate precision equipment.
  • Complete tasks accurately and on-time, paying close attention to detail.
  • Review batch documentation for accuracy and completeness according to cGMP’s to ensure timely release of batches.
  • Resolve documentation discrepancies and issues with manufacturing/operations personnel in a timely manner to allow for product release.
  • Responsible for final batch disposition, certificate of compliance and/or analysis, based on review of all associated documentation.
  • Proactively work to ensure schedules are maintained.
  • Build quality into all aspects of the material release process by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  • Participate in continuous learning and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge on the use of calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and programmable equipment (Keyence, OGP, Vision System & 3D Scanners).
  • Ability to work in a team setting or individually.
  • Working knowledge of Word & Excel software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks & responsibilities with competing priorities.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards.
  • Inspect, test, and measure parts of all sizes and difficulty.
  • Operate electronic software and equipment.
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly, inspection, and production processes.
  • Gather data, generate reports, and present findings to peers of all levels, confidently.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a production / inspection / documentation / manufacturing / development / GMP and 6s, highly preferred.

Schedule

This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
