Quality Control Inspector -1st Shift

About the role
Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Ensures raw materials, in-process, and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.
Responsibilities
- Perform hand solder SMT and PTH components
- Perform inspections to determine the quality of both metal components and electromechanical assemblies, visually and dimensionally based upon internal and customer-supplied workmanship standards and drawing specifications
- Perform final assembly inspection
- Perform receiving inspection on incoming purchased components and raw materials
- Determine and assist in developing methods and procedures for quality inspection and control
- Apply final labels or markings as required to demonstrate product acceptance
- Document and communicate any non-conformances identified during inspection activities
- Complete daily reports of inspection activities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or college courses
- Minimum of 2 years of quality assurance experience in a SMT and PTH manufacturing environment
- Experience reading and interpreting Bill of Materials (BOM), workmanship standards, and customer engineering specifications
- Experience with basic inspection equipment and measurement such as bore gauge, caliper, micrometer, pin gauges, etc.
- Competent in word processing, spreadsheets, and data analysis
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible in regards to overtime availability and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement)
Pay
Annual salary range: $45,760 - $49,920 ($22.00 - $24.00 per hour). Actual base pay within this range will be determined based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
