Quality Configuration Supervisor

About the role
The Quality Configuration Supervisor is responsible for developing and promoting compliance with the company quality system and customer requirements by reviewing quality policies, standards, procedures, programs, and practices while driving and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides the infrastructure necessary to identify customer processing requirements and develop production plans that define and comply with all applicable customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and implement customer specifications, part drawings, and additional purchase order requirements, and communicate with customers as necessary.
- Generate, revise, and review processing production plans using the internal Visual Shop software system.
- Develop frozen production plans as required.
- Manage document and drawing control while ensuring proper revision control.
- Maintain process plan and technique records, including customer approvals, and ensure all techniques are maintained to the appropriate revision.
- Assist with new part and new process introduction preparation and troubleshooting.
- Assist in the analysis of internal and external non-conformances using Root Cause and Corrective Action methods.
- Prepare and revise internal standard operating procedures and work instructions as required.
- Conduct contract reviews of customer purchase orders by verifying revisions and scope of work.
- Review completed Route Cards for completeness and accuracy.
- Create certifications and print shippers while ensuring all shipping information is accurate.
- Upload or email certifications to customers as required.
- Schedule shipping trucks and coordinate shipping activities.
- Place orders on hold and obtain necessary information for resolution, following up until orders are released.
- Assist in preparing for external and third-party audits and conduct internal audits to help secure and maintain third-party accreditations, including Nadcap and AS9100.
- Participate in and maintain 6S standards and initiatives.
- Supervise and provide direction to employees within the Quality Configuration function.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality planning, documentation control, and production processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Quality Planning or Documentation Control Department.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience with management responsibilities.
- Experience with quality assurance, document control, contract review, and production planning practices preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and Quality Management Systems.

$27.00 - $29.00 per hour
