About the role
Works under direct supervision of the Supervisor of Quality Assurance, reviews, evaluates and ensures compliance of parts shipped to quality standards and customer requirements. Completes test reports for shipments, evaluates quality records for adequacy and acceptance.
Responsibilities
- Performs quality review of documentation prior to shipment for acceptance.
- Evaluates quality records for accuracy.
- Keeps quality records filed and up to date.
- Reviews sales orders for quality requirements prior to shipment.
- May assist with reporting on quality trends.
- Supports in the processing and reporting of customer returns and customer complaints.
- Creates test reports and certifications for the company.
- Supports customer service with the handling of quality “requests” directly initiated by our customers.
- Follows all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and performs other housekeeping duties.
- Attends all required job related training (internal and external).
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; and a minimum of 3 years of clerical/administrative experience preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

- Computer Skills: Basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
