About the role
This is a 2nd shift position with core hours of Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, with overtime and Saturdays as needed. The role requires the ability to work overtime, including varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Execute required tests on incoming ingredients and packaging according to Quality Monitor Scheme (QMS).
- Perform verification on finished goods documentation to ensure each finished good lot meets positive release criteria.
- Support training for line operators to ensure process checks are accurate and timely as stated in QMS.
- Retain finished good samples and set up sensory panel daily.
- Hold “Out of Specification” material.
- Communicate with Supervisors.
- Utilize ASI to obtain net content information to release finished goods and assist operators with the use of ASI Stations.
- Calibrate lab equipment including pH meter, moisture analyzers, refractometer, scales, etc. according to Internal Control Plan (ICP).
- Audit GMPs throughout the plant and follow safety rules and procedures.
- Maintain logs and data records associated with job function (e.g., non-conforming materials, corrective action log, hold logs, net content files).
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Overtime and/or cover shifts as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years minimum experience in food or pharmaceutical industries in QA/QC.
- Required knowledge of food processing and food safety.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access).
- Ability to speak, write, and read English.
- Must have knowledge of operating basic laboratory equipment.
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety, quality, and other relevant requirements.
- Ensures compliance with BRC, SQF, and other relevant standards.
Skills
- Maintains a clean and neat work area.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Promotes teamwork, possesses a good attitude, and exhibits flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed.
- Spreadsheet and database knowledge (Excel and Access).

Pay
$27.00 per hour plus a $0.39 per hour shift differential.
Schedule
- 2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
- Overtime and Saturdays as needed.
