About the role
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician (3rd Shift), you will play a key role in supporting all quality and food safety aspects of production. You’ll work directly on the production floor, performing pre-operational inspections, verifying sanitation and GMP compliance, supporting production activities, and ensuring product quality standards are consistently met. You will provide hands-on support to the factory, helping identify and escalate any safety or quality concerns while contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality products.

Responsibilities
- Perform in-process testing and QA inspections
- Conduct daily pre-operational and changeover checks
- Follow safety rules (e.g., Lock Out Tag Out [LOTO]), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies
- Conduct daily floor walks to monitor production personnel for GMP compliance
- Communicate/escalate safety, sanitation, or product issues to Line Leadership Team
- Participate in product evaluations to ensure top quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, production, or operations environment
- Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens
- Flexible to work overtime, irregular hours, or rotating shifts based on business needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or move throughout the shift
- Basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures (Spanish/English bilingual is a plus)
Skills
- Detail-oriented and committed to quality
- Ability to follow safety rules and operating procedures
- Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals and safety instructions
- Comfortable performing basic lab tasks and using standard lab equipment
- Proficiency with using computers, tablets, and basic software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with systems like SAP, DMO, Pegasus, Neogen ATP readers is preferred
Pay
Compensation: $22.40/hr plus $1.25/hr for 3rd shift differential. Nestlé offers a quarterly bonus and performance-based incentives. The approximate pay for this position is $22.40 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
Schedule
Hours: 10 PM to 6 AM
Days: Sunday – Friday (6 days a week)
