Quality Assurance Tech

Responsibilities

• Test robotic manipulation workcell operations as both an independent system and as part of an integrated fulfillment solution including robot fleets, gantry workcells, and microservices.
• Execute testing activities across both physical and virtual environments, including preparing test data through software tools or physical materials such as packages, totes, and carts.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and firmware issues to identify root causes and document defects clearly and accurately.
• Diagnose and recover workcell functionality from mechanical or software failures while maintaining a stable and reliable testing environment.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain robotic and automated workcells, including performing updates to software, firmware, and hardware as required to support evolving test scenarios.
• Collect, analyze, and document test data, including logs, dashboards, and database outputs, to evaluate system performance and report findings.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and blockers clearly and consistently to QA leads, managers, and development teams.
• Support continuous testing improvements by adapting to changing priorities and test requirements in early-stage or evolving product environments.
• Perform physical activities associated with testing, including walking, bending, squatting, lifting, and moving equipment or materials as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly assess situations, troubleshoot issues, and determine appropriate next steps in real time.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience running scripts.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands, SQL, and Python is preferred.
• Ability to work in both physical and virtual testing environments, including handling equipment and materials safely.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic and evolving testing environment.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, adapt to shifting priorities, and support early-stage product testing initiatives.

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $42.00 - $46.00/hour. As a non-exempt position, this role will be eligible for overtime, at 1.5 times the base rate, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
