Quality Assurance Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates inspection guides, procedures and forms for quality assurance department personnel.
• Performs quality tests using a wide variety of inspection/test equipment including, but not limited to: dial calipers, hardness, pin and thread gauges, and tensile testing equipment.
• Communicates information on quality trends and issues to Quality and Operations management.
• Affords assistance with simple engineering projects when required.
• Maintains test equipment calibration; calibrates tools in-house, ships tools to outside laboratories for calibration when needed, updates calibration database.
• Maintains a safe and healthy environment by adhering to company rules and policies and complying with legal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• A High School Degree or equivalent required.
• A technical Associate’s Degree, Engineering degree, or related field and equivalent combination of education, vocational training and related experience preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years related experience in manufacturing and quality required.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications; Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Sharepoint.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
• Limited knowledge of SAP is a plus.
