Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Ontario, CA | Type: Direct Hire | Compensation: $70,000 | Work Model: Onsite | Hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, labeling standards, and retailer compliance guidelines
• Coordinate third-party laboratory testing programs and review test results
• Support FDA registrations, regulatory submissions, and compliance documentation
• Qualify suppliers and oversee GMP and social compliance audits
• Manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs and quality deviations
• Lead quality and compliance activities associated with new product launches
• Review product ingredients, labels, packaging, and claims for regulatory compliance
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary process updates
• Serve as the primary quality and regulatory contact for retail customers
• Maintain private-label, retailer, and regulatory documentation
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Suppliers
• Provide project status updates and proactively mitigate compliance risks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Regulatory Compliance
• Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Cosmetics, OTC, Medical Device, or related industries
• Strong understanding of FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and compliance programs
• Excellent root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
