Quality Assurance/Quality Control Supervisor

About the role

Our corrugated packaging business seeks to be the leader in helping our customers — large and small — package, transport and display products of all kinds.

Responsibilities

• Manage all quality assurance and quality control aspects of mechanical repairs
• Support portions of larger capital projects requiring new tank construction per API 650 and/or significant tank upgrades
• Prepare estimates, budgets, schedules, materials and contract specifications, procurement plans, and work plans for projects, track and report on project progress and performance
• Plan, schedule, and execute tank integrity projects to meet Company standards and policies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for assigned projects
• Prepare the annual sustaining capital budget and major maintenance budget for tank integrity
• Maintain PCA piping specifications for all piping services throughout the mill
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School education with 2 years maintenance related experience
• Knowledge/Competencies: ASME Boiler & Vessel Codes (Sec VIII Div I & II), ASME Piping Codes (B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8), Pressure Vessel Inspection (API 510), Pressure Piping Inspection (API 570), n Pressure Relief Systems (API 520/526), Tank Evaluations (API 620/650/653), Risk-Based Inspection (API 580/581), Fitness for Service (API 579), Damage Mechanisms (API 571)
• Preferred Certifications: API 653 Tank Inspector, AWS Certified Welding Inspector-CWI, Certified Level II Ultra Sonic Testing per ASNT SNT-TC-1A, Mag Particle and Dye penetrant testing, X-Ray film interpretation

Skills

• Fixed equipment inspection tasks/ procedures
• NDT management
• Working knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing, Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Positive Material Identification, and material hardness testing

Pay

Starting salary range for position: $96,000 - $120,000
