Quality Assurance - QC Inspector I

About the role

The Inspector position at Chromalloy is responsible for validating process adherence on both the component and subsequent paperwork to the work instructions and all relevant specifications. Key responsibilities include performing tasks such as dimensional inspection, visual inspection, generating Certificate of Conformance (C of C) in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications. Other duties may involve chemical testing, assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, masking/prep, vane install, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs dimensional inspection and visual inspection
• Generates Certificate of Conformance (C of C) in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications
• Performs chemical testing, assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, masking/prep, and vane install
• Operates CMM in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications
• Maintains highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow
• Prepares necessary quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions
• Adequately adheres to all 5S / CPEX policies and maintains a continuous improvement mindset

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong shop mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow instructions, read and interpret blueprints
• Team player with ability to work in a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Must be able to wear specific personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the company, including steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses
• May require work hours outside of regular business hours to meet operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
