Job Overview
Essential Responsibilities:
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Quality Management: Ensure employees operate within VPET USA INC’s policies and procedures.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor.
- Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
- Provide support to production team when required.
- Visually and physically inspect materials, components, subassemblies, assemblies, tools, and final product configuration.
- Record compliance with quality standards to verify that company products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications.
- Solve inspection problems; methods-procedures, plans, and details.
- Audit products and processes to verify systems.
- Maintain necessary inspection logs and write inspection reports.
- Communicate quality problems and work with engineering and leads to support, investigate, and resolve the quality issues.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify, address problems, and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft programs.
- Must be able to use computer programs to keep track of administrative tasks such as report writing, analysis of work orders, evaluations, etc.
- English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Must be committed to the success of the entire organization.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
- Must be able to use a ladder or step ladder.
- The work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions.
- This is a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
Education/Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Familiarity with SQF 2000, HACCP, and GMP is preferred.
- Experience in the plastic bottle industry or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
