Quality Assurance Manager

About the role
Lead quality assurance and quality control activities across products, suppliers, and contracted operations.
Ensure compliance with FDA, BRC/GFSI, licensor, customer, and internal quality requirements.
Manage vendor qualification, audits, inspections, corrective actions, and supplier performance monitoring.
Lead HACCP, food safety, recall, and audit programs.
Review new products, packaging, and product modifications to identify quality and compliance risks.
Partner with Product Development, Design, Packaging, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to support successful product launches.
Monitor changing regulatory requirements and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Supervise the Labeling Compliance Manager and QA Assistant.
Lead investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and compliance.
Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of quality assurance, quality control, food safety, regulatory compliance, or related experience.
- Experience working with audits, supplier quality programs, AQL or other sampling methods, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
- Working knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, BRC/GFSI, CPSC, ASTM standards, Proposition 65, or similar regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to take initiative without waiting for direction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively communicate with vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders while driving issues through resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access.
- Experience leading teams, projects, or compliance initiatives strongly preferred.
- HACCP and/or PCQI certification preferred.

Pay
Salary Range: $110,000-$125,000, commensurate with experience.
