Quality Assurance Intern – Elwood, KS (Summer 2027)

About the role

As a Summer 2027 Quality Assurance Intern, you will join the Quality Assurance team at our Monoclonal Antibody manufacturing site in Elwood, Kansas. You will support activities related to the oversight of manufacturing and distribution of commercial products, gaining experience in areas such as Quality Management System, Pharmaceutical Products, and Audits.

Responsibilities

• Define, measure, analyze, and improve identified processes within the quality organization.
• Understand manufacturing processes and how Quality supports operations, production, and the business.
• Work within cross-functional teams to support inspection-readiness activities, investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
• Gain real-world experience in a regulated environment.
• Assist with production and analytical processes to ensure they meet appropriate Quality standards.
• Study design improvement processes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an academic program with a concentration in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field) or Engineering.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in life sciences, problem-solving, scientific methods, or cross-functional skill development.
• Familiarity with standards and regulations.
• Experience thriving in cross-functional team settings.

Additional Details

Travel: 10% to the corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing events.

Location: Elanco Elwood manufacturing site, Kansas.
