Manufacturing Associate Intern – Elwood, Kansas (Summer 2027)

About the role
As a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the TSMS team at our Elwood, Kansas manufacturing plant, contributing to a hands-on technical project focused on improving processes, solving business challenges, and supporting operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Understand the Animal Health Manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit
- Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements
- Learn about quality control, mAbs production, product recovery, product finishing, or companion animal packaging
- Study design improvement processes
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process
- Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn
Qualifications
- Prior internship or professional experience in a life-science industry (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision
Additional Information
Travel: 10% to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing.
Location: Elwood Manufacturing Plant, Elwood, KS.

- Pay: Competitive salary of $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)
