Quality Assurance Inspector (Basic Lab Exp is Required) -Entry Level
Location: San Diego, CA | Duration: 3-month contract | Pay rate: $20–$25/hr | Hours: 40 hrs/week, 1st shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM during training; flexible after training) | Employment type: W2 contract (US citizens or Green Card holders only)
About the role
Responsible for visual inspection of bottled products, components, and kits, ensuring vials have correct volume, proper label description, material number, batch number, and storage temperature. Review packaging batch records to confirm the correct Technical Data Sheet and any applicable inserts are attached. Oversee dilution, bottling, and packaging processes to ensure all finished products meet specifications before release to Finished Goods Inventory or Inventory Control. File QA retention samples and support external customers as well as internal teams such as Operations, Packaging, Production Planning, Technical Product Managers, and Inventory Control.
Responsibilities
- QA inspection of bottled products and kits/sets
- SAP data entry
- Review and verification of batch records and release products to Finished Goods Inventory
- Review and verification of raw material supplier documentation and release to inventory
- Assist in pulling and maintaining QA retention samples
- Scan completed documents into the company archival system
- Perform temperature monitoring of QA freezers
- Generate monthly reports
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; AS degree or college-level science courses helpful
- General office and computer data entry experience
- 0–3 years of QA inspection experience
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Ability to work in varied temperature environments (room temperature, 4°C, -20°C, -80°C)
- Local travel required for product inspection at different client facilities in San Diego
